  1. My name is Richard Jackson and I am 15, I was separated from my family to come here. I am an only child so my parents are really sad without my company. I was running in the battlefield and I fell down, turned my head and saw the enemy on my back. Without thinking I stood up and ran away, when I felt a deep pain in my left arm, He shoot me. I am sitting in a wagon. There is a really long line of wagons here, I only know I am in the third one an that probably in two hours it would be my turn and a nurse will come help me. I am desperate and scared, and looking at all this soldiers injured make me feel even worst. Smelling all the blood, hearing the screams and complains of everyone and only thinking of maintaining alive. If I die, my parents would live the rest of their lives feeling sorrow and despair. I am trying to pay attention to whats going on, but I feel so much pain that I barely lost my ability of thinking. In the wagon on front I see my best friend crying, If I had enough energy to walk I would stand up to see what happened to him, there is not enough supplies for everyone. I can only see his bloody leg and I heard the nurses behind me saying his case is a tough one. -Juliana Etchelecu

  2. They´re coming. I see them, ready to attack. I need to think fast, faster, much faster. I´ll fight as if there was no tomorrow. I dont know if I will survive, but, if I die, I will do it serving my country and die in honor. Its now all muddy, I cant see very well, now I dont know when they are going to attack. I´m scared. I am hiding under a bush, I can now see. I see their gunshots are heard. I need to run, run away. If I don't do this I´ll die. I start to run, it is not far away from my save place under the bush when I get noticed and shot. Right in the leg. I am now in the dry grass where I shall die in honor. The next thing I see is a girl with black hair that comes and carries me with other nurses to a tent. *FAINTS* When I wake up I see a nurse, I ask her what is her name, she answered Clara Barton. I go to sleep again because of the medicaments I was given to relieve my pain. I wake up and Clara asks me what is my name. I answered Brian, Brian Lenn

  4. Boom, boom, I hear the explotions out there. I am here at the trench. Scared of running outside and getting shot. Suddenly I see one of my old friends rushing pass me he goes out of the trench and the last thing I heared from him was he falling back to the trence with a bullet on his chest. Without thinking ran to help him. Just as I was arriving I stepped on a mine. I tried to run but it was to late. I flew in the air and fell several feet away. I open my eyes, where am I? I see blood all over the place. I couldn't feel my leg, so I looked down. It wasn't there, some strange people place me on the floor and they said it was going to be alright. I looked besides me and I saw my friend that I tried to save, dead with blood all over his uniform. -eduardo

  5. Come on they're coming . They are ready to attack. I can see them. I need to think fast. Suddenly the mine that was near me exploted. Since that time I don't remeber anything the next thing I saw was bomb exploting. Then suddenly they told me I was in "comma" they told me I was in "comma" for three days I couldn't believe it. Then i decide to get up the bed and went again to the war , but before that I went to grab a gun but the nurses tell me I was crazy and even they even told me I was week. I didn't believe her so I went to the battlefield. I saw almost fivehundred deads I was scared . But I should do it for my country so I started to throw the bullets that were in my gun. I had never felt that experience sience that time. I killed almost onehundred people, but I'm still felling bad for those who died in those times. I was lucky that the mine didn't kill me. But there were many people dead after that time. But the ones that survive were so insane by all the deads that the suicide them self. -ricardo lasso

  6. I can see our enemies coming, I am very nervous. I am the only child in my whole family and I am afraid to die. I want to go home, but first I have to survive. Ready to give all I can, ready to survive and be able to go see my family. It is dark, and I see lights near us, I think they are the enemies. Yes they are, I heard the Captain say, get ready soldiers, they are about to attack us! I got my gun, got in a good position and bum, bum, bum! I just heard people shooting, and I also started shooting. I killed 10 guys, and I felt proud because I was doing it for my country, but suddenly bam!, they shoot me in the leg. I didnt shout because of the scared I was of dying and no to be able to see my family. I hid behind a tree to see if I could safe myself there. Suddenly I just heard someone shout: VICTORY!!! I couldnt move because of the pain I had because of my leg, so I started crying because of the happiness I felt. I just wanted to see my family and felt very excited.

  7. I was there, seeing every single thing. Keeping my eyes close just to keep my mind open with hope. I have nowhere to go, I was seeing some of my friends died and I can´t do anything to help them. I approach some soldiers who were terribly injured, trying to help, I sit down, look at their face and keep saying, “Stay with me dear, you´ll be alright”. I was an amazing nurse; I had saved more than 120 lives in a month!
I was trying this battle, I wanted to save more than I had before, but there was so much blood flowing dead bodies all around, it was hard to even pass through. I remember seeing all the faces of people fill with the power of depression; a power that break a person mostly immediately. I can´t almost believe how much dead bodies were! I feel unnecessary, I can´t do anything else but what I have give. The ground was fill with blood, it pass through my socks while I walk, it was terrible. I know, from there, that I needed to do something… -isabella manrique

  8. As I soldier disillusionment was flowing through all my body. I thought people in Fredericksburg were more compassionate. Along all my teammates I am wounded and seeing all my people in the same way frustrates me all day long. No one wanted to helps us; we were all alone, in our own way. In my heart I knew someone wan't to help us; that person was Clara Barton. In one afternoon carloads of supplies came. That was glory for all of us. The brightness and light of my face came again. I was no longer crestfallen. I thanks god for making people that care for the more needed people.

I separated from my family to come here to the battlefield when suddenly, someone shoot me in the leg. I am in the nursery begging for people to take care for me. I am bleeding out and no one wants to take care of me. In the war, they threw me a bullet and it is very painful. I wish it to be the time when its my turn for the nurse to cure me of these painful injured leg. I am feeling pain and i see my friends dying. I am full of sadness. I know that one day I will get cured by an amazing nurse, Clara Barton. I am full with hope that everything will be all right. I see lots of people here around me dying also and full of pain. These is horrible. My body is full of disillusionment.

  10. I could feel the red bloody hands and beds in the hospital. Many soldiers were diagnosed with many different and chaotic diseases. There were many different horrible cases where people are being killed. People were all over the place, thrown in the floor very close to bleed out. There are people starving, just wanting to have something to drink. All I wanted to do was help them. But sometimes it just seemed impossible. My working partners and me had to take care of billion soldiers, all very ill or even about to die. I love working here because I get to help other people, but its really a hard job and very difficult to manage all this situations at once.

  12. All I see and smell is blood. You can see the peoples look in their eyes, their scared. Including me. Everyone is starving, suffering, I'm scared. I cant handle it anymore. I could see my bloody hand dripping pure red blood. I had been shot 5 times luckily I was still alive. I wish I could help all those people that hadn't just been shot 5 times like me but 10 times. All begging just for one drop of water. Worst day of my liife.

  13. It is incredible how many people have died this week. They were fighting to save our country and died trying. The worst part is that we have no supplies to cure the others that are still alive. I can only imagine how their families will feel when they are told that one of his/her siblings died in the war. Everyone is trying their best to be strong and keep on fighting, but the pain everyone has soldiers and nurses, mental and physically, is keeping them from doing that. I dont know how this will end. -ana sofia d

  14. I'm laying on the floor with my leg cutted and a river of blood all across my pants, why did it have to be my pants, know my wife will murder me so I preffer to just stay here and lay on the wet floor. 5:56 sunset, I know this isn't a diary and I think am getting illusions of a great and sweet and hot ham slice in my mouthand then there it is, the most hot, cool perfect and sexy pair of pants I have ever seen brought to me by a sexy nurse. She gave me the pair of pants and grab me to the hospital, And that kids is how I met your mother

  17. I was helping in Fredericksburg while at war. There were so many poor soldiers lying dead or even losing faith for our country. This is just horrible, but something needs to be done. My duty is to save them and be as sweet as possible for them to gain their power back and save our country rights.

I can't forget that warm feeling I got when that bloody soldier was brought to me. He was there, lying in what was supposed to be his last minutes of life. This was when I had been assigned to treat him. I decided to treat him very carefully and I even said some sweet words to motivate him. My words came flowing out of my mouth as if they were planned. "You are a soldier that will be forever be remembered honorably by history, and even be aspired by little kids in the future, now, please, I wish you could just stand up, and finish that struggle with death and start your pursue of justice and happiness." The soldier woke up and took some pills. He was soon back at war and willing to win it for him to go back with his beloved family. That was another live saved, but one of the most memorable ones. In my future, I will indeed save lots of soldiers, but perhaps this experience is the one that will inspire me to save soldiers and the country.

  18. I am Doctor McFaggot Cakes and I must help this injured soldiers. The other doctors must help me! First I am going to start with him, Richard Jackson. I am going to do a little surgery in his left arm. Okay, now the next one, Jack Robies, hum, lets see. I am going to do a complicated surgery, cut off his dead hand. After I am going to make him a blood transfusion to make his body recover the lost blood. It is very sad seeing all this wounded, injured soldiers. -Manuel Díaz

  19. My name is Robert Robertson. I am a wounded soldier. I have nothing to eat, I have a bullet on my leg and it is really hard to walk. I need to go to the hospital or home. Someone needs to take care of me. I dont want to die today. I am only 22 years old and I have a pregnant wife. She is almost 9 months. I want to meet my son. He will be all my life. I can do whatever it takes to reach the hospital and stay alive. I have no money. The only things I see are wounded soldiers whining or dying really slowly. Even I could fear their pain. So if i die my wife would be alone with the newborn baby, my parents will be really sad because I am their only child. So can you imagine I will leave my family devastated. So please I am begging on my knees...HELP ME, HELP ME!!!!!!!

  20. (From Rene using Manuel's Ipad)

As I saw the blood slowly drip down my arm, I struggled to stand up and look around. The barren battlefield that laid before me used to be my home, where I grew up, innocent and happy. Corpses could be found anywhere, and a rotting stench filled the air. Loud cannons boomed left and right, desperates wails for help drowned by explosions. I grabbed my musket, and slowly limped towards my comrades, just as I saw a nurse running towards us, a bag at her side. Wearing a blue uniform, I couldn't stop wondering why, why was she helping the Graycoats? As she leaned

  22. My name is Sartandus, i am 14 years old and i am a soldier in the civil war. We did everything I could to win the battle, but it was almost impossible. I was there where hundreds of soldiers where killed and no one helped us. Everyone we asked for help let us died it was like if we where a illness, but here was one woman here name was Clara Barton, she was the only one that helped us. This was all in Fredericksburg, a place that became a field of blood and dead men.

  23. I can’t believe the mess there is in the hospital. In the six years I have been working here I have never seen it like this. We don’t get a lot of patients do to our little town. As I inject a soldier’s back I see bullets going through the wooden wall. All the nurses are running around with water and sponges and supplies to sew all the soldier’s injuries. The doctor panicking says he forgot how to do a surgery so Annie will have to do the surgery for him. I can feel the chill around my body that tells I can’t do it but at the same time my mind telling me I HAVE TO. As I keep hope for the officers I am still trying not to puncture the patient’s spinal cord with the needle. Even more bullets are going through the wall and I can hear the explosions across the lake from the hospital. Even more people are coming in to be attended. Everything keeps getting bigger and bigger by the minute. I hear the head nurse shouting that an officer came to tell us that we had to get under the tables and under the nursery beds because they were getting closer and crossing the lake. I freaked, the lake was very close to us and they were probably dashing in any minute now but I obeyed orders. I took my patient not under the nursery bed but out into the medicine layer. Something inside of me told me that I had to get away. I told everybody to get in. I was right. Almost all the soldiers were safe in the layer. We had to deal with the fact that we where all inside, quiet so they wouldn’t hear us and cuddled trying to do surgeries! I am frightened that I may die today but I keep my hope to save these people.

  24. Blood runs through my forehead, I had been shot from across the distance. I thought I would have been safe in the trench. God! I'm becoming more visible, my position isn't safe now. I'd better get another place to hide. Here's better I shall load my gun in case someone comes in to attack. Now who am I, I'm Ross Payton, an honour soldier in the US army. I shall go out and fight just as Captain Jackson said "South will win" because of me Ross Payton. There they come guns loaded ready to shot whatever comes in their way no matter who it is. They'll shot directly in your eye. And Boom! your blood running through every little gap in the ground. I'll go directly to the nurse I need some stitches before heading again to the battlefield.

So many injured, this looks like a crematory, so many people would not see their families again other will receive messages written by a woman's handwriting saying they're seriously injured and they'll never be the same as before. My stitch is done I shall go back to the battlefield.

More injured. Boom! another man down. Boom! another one down. Boom! my life passed through my eyes fifteen seconds, my wife, my children, all gone. Who am I? I am Ross Pa...
